No experience is required and none is assumed. Sessions are designed from the ground up for people who have never worked with horses. Every session begins with a full introduction to horse behaviour and safety - you will never be asked to do anything without proper guidance first.

No. All work is done from the ground. There is no riding, no saddles, and no equipment beyond a lead rope for certain activities. The entire session happens at ground level, which is where the most honest interaction between horse and human takes place.

No. The Equine Teacher is a leadership development experience, not a therapeutic service. While the work can be emotionally meaningful, it is not clinical in nature and is not a substitute for professional mental health support.

Group sessions run for approximately 3 to 3.5 hours from start to finish, including the debrief, while private sessions run approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
The half-day group session accommodates 2 to 4 participants. The private experience is designed for 1 participant. For larger teams, enquire about our custom program options.

Closed-toe shoes are essential (no thongs, sandals, or heels). Comfortable clothing suitable for being outdoors is recommended, with layers for cooler months. Avoid loose scarves or dangling jewellery that could startle a horse.
Please also being a water bottle and an open mind. All session materials are provided on the day.

Sessions run in light rain - being outdoors in all conditions is part of the experience. In the case of severe weather we will contact you to reschedule. We monitor forecasts in advance and will always give you as much notice as possible.

All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure participant safety. The horses used are carefully selected based on their temperament and suitability, although it’s important to remember that horses are large animals and can sometimes be unpredictable.
A full safety briefing is provided before any horse interaction and a trained facilitator is present at all times. All participants are required to sign a safety and consent form prior to the session.

Sessions are designed for adults in professional contexts. Participants must be 18 or older.

Send an enquiry through the Contact page. We'll confirm availability, discuss your group's needs, and send through all the information you need to prepare. Sessions are confirmed once a deposit is received. We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to allow time for paperwork, preparation, and pre-session briefing materials to be sent.

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the session date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled at our discretion depending on circumstances. We understand that things come up - please get in touch as early as possible if you need to change your booking.

Yes. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due 48 hours before the session date.
